Sparkler Pinpricks by Jacob Shreve

Sparkler Pinpricks brings sensation into focus, recalling the charge of holding a sparkler on a warm night: the flare of color, the flash of brightness, the smell of smoke, and a feeling of sharp texture on the skin. Through abstract expressionist painting, the work moves between landscape, graffiti, repeated symbols, and fragments of language, creating scenes that feel both immediate and half-remembered. The accompanying sculptures extend this perceptual field through gleaming black tributes to volcanic rock, scratchy bowls, and heavily worked stoneware. Together, they allow fleeting sensation to settle into physical, enduring form.
