Past Exhibition:
TRACES by Kathrine Love and Marc Thomas
February 7 - 16
The works of Katherine Love and Marc Thomas explore the rich possibilities of abstraction, where deliberate actions and spontaneous moments shape their creative processes. Both artists navigate between traditional art historical forms, yet their practices resist easy classification. This exhibition marks their first two-person show and offers a unique opportunity to experience the intersections of their distinct, yet complementary, approaches to abstraction.
Long time residents of Honolulu, Love and Thomas are colleagues at the Honolulu Museum of Art, and both received degrees in art from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. They have shown separately in multiple venues in Hawaiʻi including at The Honolulu Academy of Arts, The Contemporary Museum, the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Art Gallery, SPF Projects, the Downtown Art Center, Koa Gallery, Gallery ʻIolani, and the Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center.
Join us for the opening reception on Friday, February 7th from 5 — 8 PM.
